My name is Pedro Ciudad Imedio, founder of Finca La Rosala, which was born mainly from the passion that I have had since I was little for "panchitos", the name given to peanuts in our region and that my neighbor "Angelito" roasted. member of an artisan family that has roasted nuts in a wood oven since the beginning of the 19th century.
One day, while in my office, I went to buy my beloved "panchitos", when I arrived, "Angelito" was toasting them, and I couldn't help but watch him do it, he noticed and asked me if I wanted to learn, I, of course , I said yes, and he, delighted to be able to show me what he had done all his life, showed me all his tricks and secrets.
At the time, "Angelito" passed away, so one day, reflecting, I came to the conclusion that I could not forget these recipes and I began to toast them in the oven at home.
Little by little, I gave my friends the first “panchitos” and I tried more nuts: almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, cashews... In addition to adding innovative ingredients.
The result was that all my friends were asking me more and more, at the same time that it was spreading, word of mouth, to the friends of my friends and close people.
Today, after building a small roastery and teaching my wife and children to roast in this very special way, Finca La Rosala has modern facilities in Calzada de Calatrava, has numerous established clients and is present in more than 12 countries.
